Zhenyu Cao began music studies on piano at 4 years old. At the age of 9, he started to learn bassoon with Zhaolu Liu, the head of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music’s bassoon professor and Winds & strings department. Studied in Music Middle School Affiliated To ShangHai Conservatory Of music at 2011. In 2018, he was admitted to the Music Performance(bassoon) of the Estonia academy of music and theatre. Studied with bassoon Professor Peeter Sarapuu. Since 2018 he has performed with EMAT Symphony Orchestra, ERSO and Pärnu City Symphony Orchestra. Fall 2020 season won the first place from Rocky mountain woodwind and brass competition, Canada.
